We are proud to announce that Paul Ventre takes on role as the ECITB Regional Chair for North-west England this month.
We are two months into 2018 and with Laker Vent Engineering Ltd having long been a strong voice and supporter of skills development in the NW of England. A consistent presence in the recruitment and development of talent the organisation has led several initiatives to improve industry skills. Recent examples of this have included embedding lean philosophies into the industry. A keen supporter of people development; Paul brings a wide engineering construction knowledge and strong leadership experience.
The ECITB is the statutory skills body for the engineering construction industry in Great Britain. It works closely with employers and the Government to attract develop and qualify engineering construction personnel in a wide range of craft, technical and professional skills and disciplines.
The Regional Chair role involves supporting the work of the ECITB within the region, and helping shape the skills agenda for the wider industry.
Paul feels it an honour to be appointed and hopes to have as much impact as previous incumbents which includes our previous MD and his brother Richard who was Regional Chair for six years before his recent retirement.
