Laker-Vent’s Cameron Ward and Owen Clinton were named “Apprentices of the Year” by the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) last week. The prestigious award recognises their exceptional talent and dedication shown in the engineering industry.
“We are tremendously proud of Cameron and Owen on this outstanding achievement,” said Laker-Vent Operations Director Tom Ventre. “Our apprenticeship program develops the next generation of engineering leaders. Award winners like Cameron and Owen demonstrate just what success can be achieved.”
Between them, Ward and Clinton received three nominations and two awards from ECITB. Their awards highlight their technical prowess, workplace attitude, and promising careers in engineering construction.
Laker-Vent remains committed to developing skilled workers and closing the engineering skills gap through rigorous onsite training. Apprentices gain hands-on building experience on complex projects.
