As a member of the Sizewell C Consortium, we welcome the announcement that the government will support Sizewell C with £100 million funding.
Nuclear power will play a major role in the UK’s transition to clean, safe and reliable energy to reach net zero targets.
Sizewell C will provide 6 million homes for 60 years saving around nine million tonnes of carbon emissions each year and support social and economic growth and provide support to Levelling up the regions with 25,000 employment opportunities, up to 1,500 apprenticeships and provide benefits to as many as 2,500 businesses in every corner of the country.
